Abstract: This research was motivated by the lack of knowledge and interests of students and the community in recognizing the solar system. The solar system is a collection of celestial objects which consists of a massive star called the sun, and all objects that are bound by the force of gravity. The solar system (Solar System), or also called the family of the sun (The Sun And it's family), is a system consisting of the sun as the center of the solar system and surrounded by planets,comet (comet), meteors (shooting star ), satellites and asteroids. The introduction of the solar system that is often applied to cause boredom and tedious because of less varied. The subject matter of the solar system were given to the students are usually delivered using textbooks. In the textbook presented the material of the solar system in the form of images and text that dominate the theory explanation. To clarify understanding the material of the solar system, there needs to be support for information technology that can be applied to this matter. With memamanfaatkan advancement of technology, the concept of 3-D animation is one method that can be presented more attractive and more affordable cost. The design of three-dimensional animation of the solar abiding in the design and modified to be more interesting, children and adults will more quickly understand and grasp of the solar system.
